Boat Carrying 750 People Sank in Sea
Boat carrying 750 refugees overturned in the sea near Greece. At least 82 drowned, and up to 500 are missing.
It is unclear how many passengers remain missing from the vessel, which had set out from eastern Libya and was heading for Italy.
The refugees were seeking resettlement in Italy, as
tens of thousands seek sanctuary from war,
persecution and poverty.
The chairman of Pakistan's Senate, Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, disclosed more than 300 Pakistani nationals have been killed, although officials are waiting on confirmation.
